What ages do you welcome?+
Joyful Zen Preschool is for little ones ages 2½ to 5, in small, nurturing groups.
What are your hours?+
Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. The core day runs 9:00am to 3:00pm, with a half-day option from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Extended care runs 3:00pm to 5:30pm.
What's the teacher-to-child ratio?+
Just 1 teacher for every 4 children. Small groups mean every little one is truly seen, known, and cared for.
What's your educational philosophy?+
We're play-based, and Montessori and Reggio inspired. Days are built around safe, nurturing, developmentally-thoughtful activities that follow each child's curiosity. Both Spanish and English are part of everyday life here.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?+
Yes, children should be potty-trained before starting with us.
What does a typical day look like?+
Mornings begin with Montessori lessons and arts and crafts, followed by a snack and a group mindfulness moment. From there it's outdoor play, lunch, a restful nap, and an afternoon snack, before free-choice play rounds out the day.
Do I need to tour before enrolling?+
Yes, and we wouldn't have it any other way. A tour comes before any application so you can feel the space, meet our team, and picture your child here.
